ANNOUNCEMENT

 

PILOT AND FEASIBILITY PROJECT GRANTS 2005

The Yale-NIH Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center is pleased to announce the availability of pilot and feasibility project grants commencing October 1, 2005 for one year to fund pilot research projects in the amount of up to $30,000. These pilots provide seed money for investigators toward the development of new techniques and tests for the metabolic characterization of mice. Funding for these projects will be competitively distributed to develop new technologies or miniaturization of existing technologies for use in mice and adaptation of existing technologies for use in mice. It is not the intention for these funds to augment ongoing funded research of an investigator.

All eligible investigators must have faculty appointments and be independent investigators. Priority will be given to new collaborative investigations and junior investigators.

Deadline to submit applications is June 15, 2005. Announcement of recipients will be made by Dr. Gerald Shulman. Information and application forms may be obtained from the Yale Grants and Contracts webpage (NIH Forms 398), the office of Dr. Shulman at TAC S269 or call 785-5447.
